Charlottetown Tourism

Charlottetown celebrates its status as the “Birthplace of Confederation” in many entertaining ways. As a very lively cultural centre, attractions range from musicals, dinner theatre, historical tours, and stages covering Celtic to jazz.

Join the Confederation Players dressed in historic costumes as they lead walking tours around the historic city. Immerse yourself in Canada's history at Founders' Hall, which takes visitors through a time tunnel of events that played a part in Canada's growth into nationhood.

The Charlottetown Festival, that runs late May to mid-October, celebrates 38 years of Canadian art and culture including the Confederation Centre of the Arts’ performance of the magical Anne of Green Gables - the Musical. Also included in the building is gallery exhibitions, a licensed restaurant, and guided tours.

Travellers can lace up your walking shoes and follow the boardwalk along the Charlottetown waterfront and explore the beauty, the history, and the atmosphere of its quaint shops, restaurants, and cafes. They will be able to stroll along the pathways, relax on a park bench, picnic by the waterside and even go seal-watching.
